How To Clean Your Glass Stovetop And Remove Burnt Marks?

If you have a glass stovetop then you probably don’t even know how easy it is to clean it. No, you don’t need to use any fancy expensive commercial cleaners, and no – you don’t need to scrub the stovetop for hours. There is such an easy cleaning method and I am about to share it with you!

How To Clean Your Glass Stovetop?

All you need to prepare is a sponge, some paper towels, a paint scraper, and… your laundry detergent. Yes, I just said your laundry detergent. I know you probably look at your screen super weirded out, however, using laundry detergent will leave your glass stovetop spotless and will get rid of all the burnt food, greasy stains, and other impurities. Just make sure it’s powder laundry detergent because the liquid one won’t work. Of course, if you want you can also use baking soda but it won’t be as effective!

Start off with running the paint scraper over any burnt residue to get as much as possible removed. Don’t apply too much pressure because you don’t want to scratch your stove.

Then spray hot water over the burners and sprinkle some of your laundry detergents on top. Let it sit for 15 minutes then grab the sponge you prepared and scrub the surface with it. If you notice any stubborn stains or impurities that don’t seem to be lifting get the paint scraper and run it over those areas.

Once you are happy with the results, grab a towel (or a cloth), dampen it with warm water and remove all the impurities and the laundry detergent.
